A push button controlled linear movement actuator. Can be used e.g. to open and close a fire place manual shutter in a chimney if it's located out of easy reach.

A stepper motor is used to convert rotary motion to a linear motion by a screw. Stepper motor drive controls the speed and direction of rotation. Limit switches are used to observe the maximum and minimum extension of the actuator rod.
